Both of my Ring cameras were up before, during, and a year and a half after Hurricanes Elene and Milton. I just got back into my condo in February 2026 since the Hurricanes, and they both work. Get one for you.

Most of the time it's okay but this new AI crap is for the birds. I turned off the stupid of AI and you guys turned it back on. I had to turn it off again. That stuff is creepy and I DO NOT WANT ANYTHING TO DO WITH IT.
Ring signed me up for a service I didn't ask for OR want. They charged me $99 for standard service and $99 for AI service. After being on the phone for 50 minutes struggling with people who didn't understand English, They kept part of my money anyway. Now I get pop ups every time I open the app trying to trick me into their AI SERVICE AGAIN. REAL LOWLIFE COMPANY!
Yes, easy install. Cameras stink. They don't pick up a lot of motion in our set areas. The zoom quality is awful. I have three that I plan on replacing with better cameras.
Ring seems to work okay for the price, but if you ever have a problem, you will be expected to pay to fix it. They do not support replacing defective devices easily. I have 5 of their cameras and their expensive monitoring program. One of my cameras failed and it took me 2 hours of customer service to get replacement started. They treated me like an idiot. I actually have 7 devices if you count the doorbells. But as a customer at ring, I am still an idiot. I guess they are right. I did buy their system!
I installed cameras at my home in January this year. One month later, one of the cameras already failed. I have had no signal from that camera at least one week before calling Ring, who did replace it. Now I am expected to foot the bill for installation of the replacement camera, per representative Nicole, just now talking to me from a country in Asia? What customer service is this? If Ring truly accepted responsibility for its defective equipment installed on my house, they should also pay to install it. I am currently paying for a service I do not have, the last 15 days. What if this happens again? So much for making the customer whole again, even for loyalty. I have Ring cameras on another home that are still working fine after 4+ years installed, no issues. So, what happened here? Is the quality of devices not the same? Very disappointed at the lack of attention to detail and poor customer service offered, as if they did me a favor by replacing their defective product! I will consider this the next time I am investing in security alarms or making referrals to friends.
I own a business and have been paying for Ring’s “professional legacy monitoring” plan for about a year, under the clear understanding that multiple devices on my account were covered. Last night, my business was burglarized. Approximately $30,000 in equipment and inventory was stolen—and Ring provided ZERO notifications. Not a single alert. Only after the fact did I learn that the devices I have—cameras, spotlights, and even backup internet—are apparently NOT covered under the monitoring plan I’ve been paying for. Despite this, my account explicitly shows these devices as being included. That is not a misunderstanding—that is misleading. When I contacted customer service, the only “solution” offered was to purchase additional equipment. No accountability. No refund for a year of paying for a service that failed when it mattered most. Not even an attempt to make this right. To make matters worse, the representative, Ayla, was combative, spoke over me, and showed zero professionalism or empathy in response to a serious business loss. Bottom line: this experience feels deceptive—from the marketing to the fine print to the complete lack of support when it actually counted. I trusted this company to protect my business, and it failed—completely. I will not be spending another dollar with Ring, and I would strongly caution others to think twice before relying on their services.
They miss so much! I got a mattress delivered and all I got on the rRng camera was the delivery guys leaving my house. Absolutely waste of money.
Ring service uses false advertising saying their premium plan has continuous 24/7 monitoring. Every time I needed it over 12 months of having the service, I could never find the footage I needed because it was not actually continuous. Their new “AI” plans are a joke. Do not recommend.
My experience with Ring has been terrible. My front door camera has been offline for a year, they will not send someone out to fix it unless I use a third-party company; they do none of their own work in terms of repairs. There’s a significant charge, and you have no relationship with this third-party company and it becomes another entity that can gain access to your system. Ring will only provide me with the company they use, but do not even know what the fee will be. That’s it for me, I’m done!
I bought this thinking I didn't have to buy a plan. The advertisement I saw said a plan needed was not needed. I did not realize that the first month I was on a free one month plan. It didn't give me a choice. I thought I was getting all that I was seeing until the last week when it notified me that I needed to get on the plan to continue the same experience. My experience before that wasn't perfect. People came on the property that I did not see. I saw them leaving, but did not see them appearing. Hooking it up did not work well I still can't get the one camera to work and the amount of data it used made it hard for me to use my computers and TV. Then it got worse when they turned off the plan. The whole set up became useless. I figured it would load onto my phone with me being able to delete so wouldn't take up a lot of space on my phone. You get absolutely no record. So unless you're watching your phone 24 seven you won't know if anyone come on the property or who came on the property. Unless you're planning on being on a plan for life with them, with them sending you notices very 5 min. but no-one to call if you need help. I kept looking online for someway to get a hold of them because obviously I had one with a problem I gave up. I don't have a life to give to this. My husband threw away the boxes (not the first time I've told him not to do that) so I can't take it back. The other thing I don't like is the lack of privacy. I don't want a company having a record of all my friends and relatives on the property. I wanted it on my phone to delete or share as I see fit. If my husband or I are out sunbathing, I don't want that in the cloud. And when it's in the cloud, there's no way to delete what's already up there at least I didn't see it.
I liked my Ring camera at first even though the customer service was a pain in re end to understand anytime I called them. And if you got behind on your payment you could no longer go back and view previous days which is a crock of (digested food). The thing that really upsets me as when times go rough and I no longer could afford the extra charge of my services I sold my camera and canceled the service in October 2025 but they still are charging me every single month. I've called several times and still nothing has been done. They told me to call my bank and tell them to stop payment on them so I tried to do that. I called them and they told me to call Ring and have them do it, told me to tell them to cancel my policy so I did. I called and explained to the customer service agent and he hung on me!!!
I just recently bought another Ring and hooked it up. Turns out ring don't have no problem selling you another ring doorbell, but they won't let you use it without paying another subscription. It's just greed.
Recently we bought a RING system for front door, garage and backyard. The installer set it up on my husbands phone. But when I went to set it up on my phone, I got an AI as "help". When AI couldn't figure out how to add me, I held for 5 minutes for a human. She said they were "investigating" why I could not be linked to the account although he invited me. She said it would be a week to 10 days before they could "figure it out". OMG!!! Do they have to call India to get it sorted? How pathetic! Terrible product when I can't even get on it. So frustrating --hate this company.
I ordered a plug-in flood light. After waiting many weeks I finally received a hard wired flood light, which is specifically what I did NOT want or order. So, I returned it. Then a week later they sent me the wrong product AGAIN!!!. So, I had to travel yet again to the UPS store to return it for a second time. A couple more weeks went by and I called to get the status of the correct flood light. I was told because I returned the products, that they sent in error, they cancelled my order. I was told that they have no stock and that they have no idea when more will be in stock. So now, if I want to reorder I go to the back of the end of the line for everyone who is in queue to buy one, while the company is incapable of providing stock or forecasting supply. I have never seen such pathetic, incompetent customer service/operations, and I am sick of this shitty company.
Customer service is poor. Had problems logging into app. Called customer service could not get actual human. Shopping for another doorbell. Not sure how I even got logged out. Not sending my government id either. Beyond frustrated.
I have Ring cameras for years. My subscription was supposed to renew February of 2026. The money was automatically drawn from my account on February 28, 2026. Since then am not able to store recording almost. I contacted ring on the 3/19/26. Rep told me it was technical issue on their behalf. The agent reach out to me on the 3/20/26 to inform me that they are working on the issue. I receive another call on 3/20/26 informing me that the issue still not resolve and inform me to re-subscribe and accept the AI shit which I decline. I contacted ring on 3/22/26 informing them of a email I receive that my subscription is cancel and no mentioned of my refund. I ask for my refund. The agent told me they can only refund $10 which I decline. I hope the world read this review and stop buying ring product. Very disappointed. Shame on ring.
Ring camera is a piece of shit. Too many problems. It miss the alerts a lot. Live view does not work sometimes even WiFi signal is good (RSSI 50). The camera cannot catch a first few of seconds for moving alert. DON'T BUY IT!
I’m writing this review for the first time on Ring because in the past I have been reasonably satisfied with Ring but now I’m irritated. Here goes- I’ve had a Ring doorbell and camera/flood light over garage for years and yes they supplied peace of mind. My doorbell died over the winter after years of good service. I bought the 3rd generation new doorbell after reading the improvements claimed…NOT SO FAST! I replaced the transformer since the new unit will not work off old low power transformers due to the enhanced camera. The camera does give head to toe visibility but my old doorbell camera alerted me of cars coming down my driveway which I linked with my garage Ring camera. I’m just going to get to the bottom line on this. I am not impressed with the magnification or clear imaging on this doorbell. If I could replace it with the old model I would. Also, I’m really irritated with Ring for charging $5.00/camera/month. They are already charging me $100.00/ year. And most of the features they are giving with the AI charges I’m already paying for. I am very disappointed with Ring but I should actually be saying Amazon (surprise that Amazon would be wanting more money…sarcasm!). Most people are rejecting the AI option from what I hear and the identification of people or a squirrel on my porch is not worth $120.00 more dollars… It’s an insult to those of us who have already been paying for most of what they are offering. So again bottom line, with the 3rd generation doorbell not delivering to my expectation (at a $250 price tag) and the jabbing of their AI pricing, yes I’m very disappointed with Ring/Amazon for the product and the pricing. And BTW, I have installed several Ring devices and this one is installed with everything it needs from WiFi signal strength to voltage requirement. I hope this helps someone!
I was a Ring customer, I’m leaving the ecosystem as of this week. I manage Airbnbs and found that it’s virtually impossible to get Ring cameras onto a subscription plan remotely. Think about that, I can’t give them subscription money if I wanted to, and I tried. Also it is IMPOSSIBLE to lodge a formal complaint! Look at the screen caps attached, you just get a chatbot that insists you talk with it.
