I had two Nest Cams, a Nest Doorbell, and a Nest Thermostat already running and was tired of bouncing between three apps. The AT&T installer showed up on time, got everything paired into the Connected Life app in under three hours, and walked me through arming the alarm from the Nest Hub Max. Doorbell rings now show up in the same timeline as alarm events — exactly what I wanted. Worth the install fee and the contract.

We live in an area with spotty cellular and that was the deal-breaker for me on three other systems. AT&T uses LTE-M for monitoring and it has not dropped once in six months. When my smoke detector went off (cooking, not a real fire) the monitoring center reached me in 14 seconds. Nest integration is seamless — Thermostat goes to eco mode the second I arm Away, and the Nest Cam outdoor person events flow into the alarm timeline.

I bundle AT&T Fiber and Wireless already, so the $10/month bundle credit basically covers the upgrade from basic to the Connected Home + Nest tier. Installation was professional, the technician was AT&T-employed (not a third-party dealer), and the 90-day money-back trial gave me confidence to commit. Six months in, no false alarms and the app is solid.

The reason I picked AT&T over ADT and Vivint: the Google Nest integration is a real integration, not a marketing line. My existing Nest Aware events show up labeled (person, package, vehicle) directly in the Connected Life app, and arming the panel from the Hub Max with face match is the most natural smart-home flow we have used. Customer service has answered the two non-urgent tickets I opened within an hour each.

Mostly a great experience. The Nest integration is genuinely best-in-class and the LTE-M monitoring has been rock solid. Two minor gripes: the up-front equipment cost was higher than I expected even with the AT&T fiber bundle credit, and the 36-month contract is the longest I have ever signed for an alarm. If those two things did not exist this would be a 5-star review without hesitation.
