KARACHI: A group of final-year students of the Usman Institute of Technology (UIT) has devised an electronic system to provide home security titled “Microprocessor Based Advanced Home Security System.”
It was a thesis assignment given to all students and had to be accomplished either using innovative ideas or by modifying commercially available devices. Group leader Haroon David told Daily Times that the project is based on a centralization feature and shows an effective performance in any environment. Intercoms and other security projects may operate effectively but they would not be centralized with each other. However, this project has the unique combination of security integrated with the intercom system.
