Tulsa Police warn thieves are disarming home security alarms and ripping off dozens of Tulsans. Police say there have been at least 20 of the same type of burglaries in the last month. Officers say the thieves knock on the door to see if anyone’s home, then they walk around and find the electric box and cut the wires, cutting power to your home and disarming your alarm. Officers warn even though you have a security alarm you must take extra steps to protect your home and your family’s safety.
